This is located at the front of the plantation. The middle door would open for carriges and what not. The two side doors were used for pedestrians.
Grapeshot hole
This is the very left column in the front of Nottoway planation. The hole in the corner is from a cannon during the civil war. A 6.4 inch grapeshot was stuck in there until 1971.
Call Bell
This is a lever used by the Randolph family to summon their slaves. There were bells attached to the servants porches, each had a different sound so they would know which room to go to.

These keys are the type of keys used to open all of the doors at Nottoway.
Gas Lighting
One of the first houses to have gas lighting.

In the dining room is Mrs. Randolph's favorite flower, a camellia, designed in the plaster work to reflect herself.
